6 months old

I am 6 months old and have been jobless for 7 months. I don't know which is more scary, the fact that I have been jobless that long or the fact that I have begun to enjoy not working. I am gonna start hunting for jobs outside Melbourne, maybe Adelaide or Sydney and hopefully can find someone who will hire me. It still amazes me to an extent how difficult it has been to get a job in Melbourne. The head hunters always have overwhelming response of people whom are much better suited to their specific requirements. Hey, I might not be the best, but some parts of me are pretty awesome leh! Sincerely hope one of the requirement does not include being able to end every sentence with 'mate'.

Looking back at the last 6 months, it was cool and awesome hanging out with family members, eat home cooked food and chill with Nite. The only downside was having nothing much to contribute during dinner-table conversation. Everyone gets to bitch about their work stuff or lack of work stuff and all I have was... " I saw ants on the cherry tree this morning," Entirely my fault as I wasn't doing much beyond haunting the house while looking for a job.

So now it boils down to a list of things that I think I should do in this pocket of free time:-

• Get a car license.
• Learn something new. Looking at Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as it's readily available in the study. If this kicks off, you will see amateur comic strips coming out soon.
• Maybe go back to school and go for higher learning.
• Start thinking of ways to make my money grow for me instead of sitting in the bank waiting for me to draw.
• Continue to exercise. Have not exercise at all after Sister's wedding.

There is this saying, when the door of an opportunity closes, a window of opportunity will open but we often stare at that closed door so long we don't see the window. I don't know if I am that stubborn idiot that keep starring at the close door or the dumb fool that can't the window.
